YHA New Zealand is pretty enamoured with our beautiful backyard.
So we’ve put our commitment to the environment into action by going solar on the West Coast. YHA Franz Josef had 108 metres₂ of solar panels installed on the roof, taking up every available square centimetre. We’ve definitely set a benchmark – this is one of the largest solar systems on the West Coast, and certainly the largest in Franz Josef.
